Public Equity Partners was founded with a simple mission: to challenge traditional investment paradigms and deliver superior public equity solutions. By applying macroeconomic insights to equity investing, we provide strategies that go beyond conventional risk-return models to help investors achieve multiple financial goals simultaneously.
What Do We Do?
We offer solutions to investment in public equities. Our focus is to use macro thinking, combined with investing in published and/or bespoke (meaning our own) indices to deliver very strong investment outcomes that deliver on multiple objectives at the same time. And in doing so, we improve portfolio skew, an important benefit that is often misunderstood.

Mike Faulkner
Mike Faulkner is the Chairman of Public Equity Partners. Mike founded P-Solve in 2001 and was CEO from inception through its merger with River and Mercantile Asset Management and Subsequent IPO of the group. Having been integrally involved in R&Ms macro investment offering since its inception in 2003, Mike became CIO in 2019. Under his leadership the business grew to more than $65bn in AUM and $35bn in assets under advice, serving hundreds of clients all over the world. Mike is widely recognised in the industry, including being recognised first in the Financial News “Most Influential in Asset Management” in 2011.
Rob Hardy
Rob is a Senior Analyst at PEP. He is responsible for portfolio management and quantitative modelling. He has 7 years of investment experience as part of River and Mercantile Group, Agilis and Public Equity Partners. He has previously built and managed systematic equity strategies, whilst producing macro research and analysis used to support house views and investment decisions.
Joe Andrews
Joe is the Chief Investment Officer in Public Equity Partners London office. He is responsible for all parts of the investment process from determining house views to further developing investment research capabilities. He has over 15 years of investment experience, as part of P-Solve, River and Mercantile group, Agilis Capital Management and Public Equity Partners. Joe has spent the majority of his career in research and portfolio management across a range of multi asset strategies, with a particular focus on building out the firm’s macro capabilities.
